I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 1 Corinthians 1:10

Mission

The mission of the Edgewood Ministerial Association is to bring together the Faith Community of the Edgewood School District by uniting Christians through worship, events, and service to others; share the truths of the Bible and the good news of Jesus Christ.

About

The Edgewood Ministerial Association (EMA) was formed in 1970 when the Trenton and Seven Mile school districts merged and became the Edgewood School District. It became incorporated as a nonprofit in 1998. The EMA was established to facilitate communication and fellowship among fellow ministers in the Edgewood School district, to encourage communication and understanding among the local churches, to share information about upcoming events, and to work together in a cooperative effort for the good of the schools and community.

Today EMA

  • Oversees a Food pantry that provides food and non-food items for the hungry and deprived.

  • Furnishes financial assistance through the L.E.A.F. (Local Emergency Assistance Fund) program to the individuals in need.

  • Provides the financial support to the Backpack Program that sends provisions home with children in the Edgewood School District so that they may receive a small meal rather than no meal at all.

  • Supports the Agape Free Store at St. Peter's Lutheran that dispenses clothes and various other items to all.

  • Assists in the Edgewood Outreach a support program to help people in the neighborhood at Sycamore Apartments in Trenton.

EMA has a membership of 18 churches and welcomes anyone of in the faith community that resides in the Edgewood School district to be part of any of EMA activities. EMA meetings are made up of the pastors/staff/church representatives and meets on the third Tuesday of each month at a designated eatery located in the Edgewood District.
